I am fascinated by lighting. We see our world through the delicate balance between light, darkness, and a penumbra in between. This balance is what makes us understand the world around us. It allows us to interpret not just forms and volumes, but also the very nuance that every object and every architectural space possesses. This play of light and shadow makes something truly special.

I have been working in the field of professional lighting for decades as a lighting designer, technical director, and industrial designer, collaborating with numerous companies and organizations, such as Valencia Palace Hotel, Maritima Boluda, Porcelanosa, Patrimonio Nacional, Sayma Iluminación SA, Antares Iluminación (Flos Architectural), Swarovski Iluminación SA, Lujan+Sicilia, Mantra Iluminación, and Alfa Romeo’s Advanced Design Studio (Milan). I have also lectured about technical lighting, the impact of lighting on cultural artworks, and transportation design.

Through this extensive experience, I have gained a profound understanding of light and its perception by users, as well as expertise in light sources and lighting technologies.

I studied design in Arts & Crafts, Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, California, USA), and ESDI CEU, where I specialized in transportation design and graduated with a master’s degree.

The focus of my designs is balancing the emotional connection created by aesthetics and the functionality brought by technical advances. I try to keep my designs simple, although simple designs sometimes require more complex engineering.

I am also interested in the production process, where I can learn the limits of current technologies and the wisdom of traditional techniques, identify problems, and provide functional and creative design solutions.
